Our donation room will more than double in size from 280 sq.ft. to 700 sq. ft., allowing us to easily process, sort and organize your generous donations. There will also be four dedicated parking spots right in front of the donation room making donating even easier!
Our renovation will include a new gravel parking area which will more than double the available parking spaces. A circular one-way driveway and a dedicated walkway from the parking areas will be added making traffic flow safer for our families, donors and volunteers.
Our revitalized facility will include a newly installed elevator so that all three levels of our renovated and expanded building will be accessible for all.
Whether for a mother with a stroller, a senior with a walker or a neighbor in a wheelchair the entire facility will have universal access!
The new property plan includes:
Our renovation will feature an expanded food pantry with a separate entrance and exit and wider aisles for navigation. A new adjacent covered food receiving area will include space for large deliveries, a larger walk-in cooler, and new walk-in freezer and ample storage space.
This will enhance our ability to receive and store fresh food, ensure that volunteers can be protected from inclement weather as they work and eliminate the need for additional sheds and pop-up tents on the property.
The expansion includes a new multi-use classroom. This space will accommodate groups for our educational classes and provide flexibility to create smaller spaces for private client meetings and additional community resources.
We aim to empower our neighbors to become self-sufficient when possible so they can eventually transition away from needing the Center's services.
