CURRENT CLASSES

BEGINNER ENGLISH SECOND LANGUAGE CLASS - Tuesday: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Begins January 29, 2019

INTERMEDIATE ESL CLASS - Thursday: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Begins January 29, 2019

English for non-native speaking adults who have a basic understanding of the language.

SEWING: UPCYCLING CLOTHING - Thursday: 10:00 - 12:30 PM, Begins February 7, 2019

Sewing students will learn to take an existing garment and remake it into a new updated item.  

*Can only accommodate 8 students. Advance registration is necessary.

SEWING AND DESIGN I & II - Tuesday: 10:00-12:30 AM, Thursday: 10:00-12:30 AM, Thursday: 6:30-9:00 PM

Taught by a seamstress, this program will meet for 2 ½ hours for 8 weeks. The class will be a mixture of new students along with more advanced students who will be working on their own independent projects. Beginning students will progress from honing and perfecting basic sewing skills to progress to creating and finishing a student project. Post Program support will include how to sell handmade products on the internet.

ONGOING CLASSES

ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONVERSATION - Wednesdays: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM 

Classes improve English language conversation skills of non-native speaking adults. These classes are taught both one-on-one and group setting every week; no registration required.


ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONVERSATION - Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Classes improve English language conversation skills of non-native speaking adults. These classes are taught both one-on-one and group setting every week; no registration required.


CAREER COUNSELING - Wednesdays: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Weekly help with job searches, resume writing and interview skills. Access to updated job board with local job listings. No advance registration is required.


BASIC COMPUTER & INTERNET SKILLS - Wednesdays: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Learn basic typing skills, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Help with printing resumes, and entrepreneurial support services including creating business cards. These classes are for all levels. *If students cannot meet on Wednesday, some alternative days and locations can be tried.


COMMUNITY SEWING - Fridays: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

This drop-in class is every Friday upstairs at the Center and is a stress-free, low-key three hours where people can connect with each other while simultaneously helping out the Center. Come make a bag or apron for yourself and one for the Center!
