CURRENT CLASSES

BASICS OF CONSTRUCTION - Bilingual Class on Fridays from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM, Begins Friday, October 19th, 2018

Taught by an Architect and Engineer, in this program, students will learn to read blueprints, calculating materials needed, along with other basic construction skills. This class will be taught in English and Spanish and can only accommodate 24 students.

BEGINNER ENGLISH SECOND LANGUAGE CLASS- Thursdays: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, Starting September 27th

Basic english for non-native speaking adults. Please note this class will be held at the Bedford Hills Train Station. PLEASE REGISTER HERE


ONGOING CLASSES

BASIC COMPUTER & INTERNET SKILLS - ONGOING - Wednesdays: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Learn basic typing skills, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Help with printing resumes, and entrepreneurial support services including creating business cards. These classes are for all levels. *If students cannot meet on Wednesday, some alternative days and locations can be tried.


COMMUNITY SEWING - ONGOING - Fridays, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

This drop-in class is every Friday upstairs at the Center and is a stress-free, low-key three hours where people can connect with each other while simultaneously helping out the Center. Come make a bag or apron for yourself and one for the Center!


ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONVERSATION - ONGOING - Wednesdays: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Classes improve English language conversation skills of non-native speaking adults. These classes are taught both one-on-one and group setting every week; no registration required.


CAREER COUNSELING - ONGOING - Wednesdays: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Weekly help with job searches, resume writing and interview skills. Access to updated job board with local job listings. No advance registration is required.
