Job Description:

The Client Resource Coordinator is a new position at the Community Center to deepen our provision of resources to families who turn to our food pantry for support. Working in collaboration with the Client Services Manager, the Client Resource Coordinator will support clients in accessing services and programs provided both by the Community Center and by partner agencies within the greater community.

Primary Responsibilities:

Access to resources:

  • Assist with the registration and renewal process for clients to access CCNW services.
  • Support pipeline of clients to participate in CCNW classes and workshops.
  • Facilitate client referrals to other agencies or organizations when their needs are beyond the scope of what the Center can provide.

Program Coordination:

  • Home Delivery Program. Coordinate client needs and volunteer drivers with food deliveries to homebound seniors.
  • Seasonal programs. Match needs with opportunities in collaboration with Client Services Manager and work with providers to successfully implement program participation.

Community Engagement:

  • Coordinate opportunities for CCNW clients at the Community Center by engaging the services of other community agencies (NWH monthly health screenings, resource fairs, SNAP applications etc.)
  • Attend community meetings as appropriate to share and gather information and enhance the collaboration and goodwill between agencies.

Resource collation and distribution:

  • Maintain up-to-date information regarding additional resources in the community.
  • Support the team in the distribution of information to clients through a variety of methods; handouts, phone messages, and digital media.

Team work:

  • Work with the staff to share client needs, collaborate on new opportunities and implement new initiatives.
  • Engage with volunteers to enhance and support our work and maintain an environment of mutual respect and appreciation.

Position requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Strong commitment to community and the mission of the Community Center.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop trusting relationships and work with a variety of constituents.
  • Flexibility to adjust quickly and perform graciously when pulled in many directions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks.
  • Enthusiastic and good humored with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Team player who collaborates with colleagues to achieve goals with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
